Dear Baby,

Hello, baby!!!

You’re now asleep as Mommy writes this. I couldn’t wait to tell how you made Mommy proud today! You just said your first English sentence “I DON’T LIKE!” Hahaha. You really shocked me and your lola ninang when you said those words. Where did you learn that? How did you learn that?

Mommy was trying to fix your hair with the clip, and you wanted to remove the clip from your hair. As I was fixing your  hair, you tried to remove my right hand as you said those words “I DON’T LIKE!” Haha. Impressive, really, you are! You said your first English sentence at 15months! WOW.

As your lola ninang was about to leave the house, you were the first one who waved your hand (meaning, bye-bye). Did you also say these words, “Can I come?” or just “I come”? Really, we heard that, too! Hahaha.

Last night, you surprised us, too, when you said, “edi, edi, edi”. I wondered was what it you were saying when I realized that you were chanting, “Alvin, Alvin, Alvin”, from the movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks. You also mimicked the way the chippets were singing with matching action of your hand — you were pointing your fingers upward. Hahaha. You’re impressive!

Mommy’s so proud of you, baby, and so is Daddy.

Dear Baby,

Hello baby! It’s past 2 a.m. now. Mommy uploaded some new pics! We went to the church last night for a meeting. Glad you didn’t cry when your godparents carried you, and yes, also our holy friend. You didn’t cry when he got you from my arms to take a picture with you.

So sorry, baby, because we went home late! You’re so sleepy already. You sang with Mommy while we were lying on the bed. You also amazed Daddy and Mommy when you suddenly said “agudoy”. Hahaha. Before you say “ouch”, but, now you’re saying Daddy’s dialect!

Waah! We really need to speak in straight English now at home.

This is all for now.

Happy Birthday!

Dear Baby,

Belated happy birthday, baby! You’re now 1 yr and 4 months! Yehey! It’s also the first time you celebrated your month birthday that Mommy and Daddy forgot to greet you! Oh no. So sorry for that. Although we don’t usually celebrate your month birthday after your first birthday, we don’t forget really to greet you! But. maybe, Mommy’s too preoccupied lately. Daddy was the one who told me that I should not scold you yesterday morning because it’s your birthday. I cried.

Mommy has been stressed out lately. I wrote you in my previous letter that we have a new nanny. After three days, she’s gone. Too bad. Mommy told her to have a day off after three days, and she didn’t come home. It’s her loss; not ours.

For the past three days, Mommy was talking with a new maid. We were about to meet her later today. But at 1a.m., she just texted me that she won’t come. Ahh, we don’t have luck in maids. Don’t worry, baby. God will give us the right person.

This is all for now, baby. Mommy has to wash your bottles. I’ll write you again soon.

Dear Baby: 60th natural letter for my baby

Dear Baby,

I just wanted to share something with you.

What an irony, really! We have our new maid. After two days, she was able to hold you even though at first you cried. Mommy’s so busy so your new yaya got no choice but to look after you. After three days of working, I told her to go for a dayoff. That was a crazy idea! Daddy was out, too, so it ended that Mommy got stressed again. One thing, we both didn’t eat our dinner because Mommy was holding you again, and no one would do the cooking.

It’s hard when Mommy always almost accommodate everyone’s welfare. It’s been quite a longish time that I needed some time off for myself. Not that Mommy is complaining of looking after you 24×7, but, you see, Mommy needs some time alone so that when I get back, I’d have enough energy again. Now that we have a new nanny, she was the one I granted that day off when she just started her work in our house. I called her on her mobile phone, and asked her why she’s not home yet at 9p.m. (as we discussed before she left at 2:15p.m.) and said she would go home by 10p.m. because she was still eating. It would be her last day off for the month of July. The next day off would be after a month.

Anyway, tomorrow will be Mommy’s first day off. Daddy will take care of you while Mommy’s away.

Mommy also wants to write that you amazed me when you put one of your clothes in the laundry bag, and then the next day after, you got a shirt from the laundry bag. It’s just so cute because you wiped your mouth with that cloth. Tehee.

It was also yesterday when you did this trick of pricking Mommy’s and Daddy’s eyes so we’d wake up. Haha. You also forced me to eat that biscuit by putting it into Mommy’s mouth, and when I sort of declined, you made a sound like you were trying to bribe me to eat! Hahaha.

Last night, at our unplanned party at home, two people (your godparents) said that you gained weight. I’m so happy. Please continue eating well, baby. Thank God for you have the appetite now.

Dear Baby,

Hello baby! How are you?

You did your first real dance tonight, to Daddy’s and Mommy’s amusement! Haha! It was a bit late though to catch your swirling dance steps in our video, but, at least, we were able to document some of your amazing steps!

You’re a dancer!

You’re a pianist?!

We just heard some pressing of great tones over the keyboard with the tapping of your cute little fingers…

At 1yr and barely 4 months?

Really, you are impressing us everyday.

With your wit.

With your talents.

With who and what you are.

A gem.

SO special to us…

We love you much.

By the way, we have a new nanny after some time of waiting.

At first glance, she was OK.

On her first day, somehow, she showed her real character.

She wouldn’t eat on time; I wonder why.

She now keeps on sighing heavily; just like our previous maid.

Ahh, Mommy needs to keep some distance, and change my approach.

I’m beginning to do some mistakes I did in the past: being too accommodating.

And, oh, by the way, you just don’t like to go with her. Haha.

We went to the coop to buy some stuffs. We were with our friend. He was sort of pissed at our maid for acting so slowly; it’s what I sensed a few hours ago.

I hope tomorrow will be a better day.

What matters to Mommy is that you now HAVE THE APPETITE! You eat whatever is served on your plate.

Of all the requests that Mommy has been asking from God, this is the best request that has been granted!

AMEN to that!

And yes, we are finally going to MY and SG for short vacation after our trip to Daddy’s and Mommy’s hometown, PH!

And yes, we are finally uprooting ourselves from the country we are in. We shall be going somewhere to the place where we should really be.

Cheers to all blessings from God!

You slept at 1a.m. yesterday, and woke up at 5:45a.m. Ahhh. :) Sleep tight!

This is all for now.
