My 1st movie experience overseas: The Mechanic

After almost spending four years overseas, it was my first time to watch a movie at the cinema! I deserved a pat and a blow. The movie was good, THE MECHANIC; I’m not pro-action movies, though, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Towards the end of the movie, say 20 minutes, I experienced a growling sound in my tummy. I thought I must be hungry. But, no, fortunately, I heeded my instinct to go to the nearest bathroom. There, plurk, plurk, plurk — diarrhea.

I prayed hard that I should reach the bowl first before the volcano would erupt. I applied the power of mind over matter. I didn’t know how I survived that hellish experience. I drank one glass of greenbarley juice before going out of the house. I must have been intoxicated for the past three days for having constipation, normal in pregnancy. The juice was very helpful in removing the toxins in my body.

After a battle with the bowl, cleaning up my mess, I immediately went out of the bathroom – relieved. I went straight to Cinema 3, and seated myself in a nearby chair – not from where my I was originally seated, beside my husband at the family section.

Watching movies in Kuwait is great – there’s a section for singles, for men, for women, and for families. And I learned that we can bring along our toddler. Next time around, we’ll bring our baby at the cinema. I’ll make sure, too, that my bowel movement is in good condition. Ahh, life…
