UPDATE May 28, 2013

While buying things at the Souq (market), I thought of changing the theme of this Web site from a personal approach to something that will cater more to public interest. I want readers to know what it is to live in Kuwait as an expat, as an OFW. From time to time though, I’ll be posting personal letters to my daughters. Edit: I’ll be posting my letters for my babies in a separate Web site. You may find my new letters at Hello Dear Baby.

UPDATE January 2011

After almost two years of being at home (overseas) with my 1st born (and after over 10 years as corporate slave both in the Philippines and overseas), I decided to fully venture in my WAHM Career (read: startup mom; startup founder). At dutdot.com, I will now include my journey and steps into fulfilling my WAHM career, aside from my experiences and worthy journey of being a mom (which was my focus in blogging then for the past two years),. You’re welcome to join my ride into the amazing lifestyle I discovered as a work-from-home mom.

THE FIRST OF ITS KIND – natural letter writing to my growing babies!

Dutdot (noun, mother’s TOUCH!), is a parenting and baby care blog written by a Filipina expat mom in Kuwait. This blog contains natural letters to my growing baby. Occasionally, I’ll blog aboout tips, anecdotes, articles about handling a one-year old baby, the beginning of toddler years. And now that I am pregnant again, I’ll write about pregnancy, baby care, e-books for pregnant moms, and more about parenting and family care. Some posts though may be paid by companies or advertisers but I’ll try to maintain, as much as possible, my personal touch.

Real motherhood is tough yet it’s the sweetest, most rewarding occupation that has been given to me by God, to be a mother. So far this is the highest paid occupation that I ever got into, for the rest of my life, that is to be a mother; the price of which is PURE LOVE and ENERGY.

Being a new mom entails growing pains and yes, sweet rewards. There are times that my side of being a human will show, after all, I am a human being first before I became a mother.

“That best academy, a mother’s knee. ”
~James Russell Lowell on Mother’s day

“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.”

And this one is my constant reminder on how I raise my child:

“The mother’s heart is the child’s schoolroom.”
