Dear Baby,

You’re talking with Daddy right now. Actually, you got the phone from Mommy as I was speaking with Daddy. You’d cry when I’d get back the phone from you.

Daddy’s a bit down today. He’s having a hard time in getting his driving license. The Ministry was telling the messenger to bring back the certificate to the Embassy for authentication, when it was already authenticated. Money. Money. Anyway, glad that you’re cheering up Daddy.

Yesterday, you really caught us by surprise, baby. I burst into tears when you learned how to pronounce the letters of the alphabet. WOW. Congratulations.

You also learned a new word last night – see? Yes, with that correct intonation of saying it – SEE? Hehe. You’re really impressive, baby! You’re always making us proud of you.

This is all for now.

Dear Baby,

Hello, baby! You’re sleeping at this time. You woke up so early this morning to think that you slept at 1a.m. already. We just came from a meeting at the Church. You ate well there – spaghetti, and chicken. People loved looking at you while you were eating last night. Such a cutie, you are.

Last night, we also fetched our new maid. Amazing, really, that you liked her at once. She carried you while we were at the agency, and you didn’t cry. You also didn’t cry when she got you from me at the car. You also fell asleep in her arms, on our way home. When we reached our home, you showed your tactics with her. You danced, you clapped, and really played with her. Your yaya was washing the dishes, and you were watching her near the door. You’re getting along so fast with her, that’s the plus factor of your new yaya.

In the morning, you wowed us when you said “hi” to your yaya while waving your hand. You also said the word “yaya” for two times this morning.

When Daddy was about to leave for office, you didn’t go towards the door to kiss him because you were playing with your yaya. When Daddy called you, you just said “yah”, and to our amazement! Haha. Slang…I just taught you about how to say it the other day, and here you are now, saying it to us. Daddy said that you don’t want to walk with Daddy towards the door because of your yaya.  We kept on calling you. Then, suddenly, we saw you coming towards the living room, and let Daddy kissed you on your forehead.

Your yaya said that it’s as if you act like a grown-up already. You’re also witty, she said.

People may regard you as smallish, just like what the people at the agency said about you when they asked me about how many months you are now. I said a year old. Small, they said. I said back “adi” – normal. But they don’t know how smart you are! Smartness cannot be seen in the eyes at once, but, it definitely lasts longer than having physical height. What would we do with our strength if we don’t have the brains? Well, Mommy is just talking with myself right now, baby. BUT, baby, you should really eat, ha?

Now that we have a new yaya (she’s on trial with us for 3 days), Mommy can now concentrate on my tasks at work. I also need not worry because when Mommy’s busy, yaya could take turns with me in teaching you – although, of course, it would be Mommy who will be your fulltime homeschool teacher.

This is all for now.

Dear Baby,

Hello baby! It’s past 2 a.m. now. Mommy uploaded some new pics! We went to the church last night for a meeting. Glad you didn’t cry when your godparents carried you, and yes, also our holy friend. You didn’t cry when he got you from my arms to take a picture with you.

So sorry, baby, because we went home late! You’re so sleepy already. You sang with Mommy while we were lying on the bed. You also amazed Daddy and Mommy when you suddenly said “agudoy”. Hahaha. Before you say “ouch”, but, now you’re saying Daddy’s dialect!

Waah! We really need to speak in straight English now at home.

This is all for now.

Dear Baby,

I just wanted to share something with you.

What an irony, really! We have our new maid. After two days, she was able to hold you even though at first you cried. Mommy’s so busy so your new yaya got no choice but to look after you. After three days of working, I told her to go for a dayoff. That was a crazy idea! Daddy was out, too, so it ended that Mommy got stressed again. One thing, we both didn’t eat our dinner because Mommy was holding you again, and no one would do the cooking.

It’s hard when Mommy always almost accommodate everyone’s welfare. It’s been quite a longish time that I needed some time off for myself. Not that Mommy is complaining of looking after you 24×7, but, you see, Mommy needs some time alone so that when I get back, I’d have enough energy again. Now that we have a new nanny, she was the one I granted that day off when she just started her work in our house. I called her on her mobile phone, and asked her why she’s not home yet at 9p.m. (as we discussed before she left at 2:15p.m.) and said she would go home by 10p.m. because she was still eating. It would be her last day off for the month of July. The next day off would be after a month.

Anyway, tomorrow will be Mommy’s first day off. Daddy will take care of you while Mommy’s away.

Mommy also wants to write that you amazed me when you put one of your clothes in the laundry bag, and then the next day after, you got a shirt from the laundry bag. It’s just so cute because you wiped your mouth with that cloth. Tehee.

It was also yesterday when you did this trick of pricking Mommy’s and Daddy’s eyes so we’d wake up. Haha. You also forced me to eat that biscuit by putting it into Mommy’s mouth, and when I sort of declined, you made a sound like you were trying to bribe me to eat! Hahaha.

Last night, at our unplanned party at home, two people (your godparents) said that you gained weight. I’m so happy. Please continue eating well, baby. Thank God for you have the appetite now.
