Dear Baby,

Hello my adorable, gorgeous, gifted baby!

Awesome, you’re asleep as Mommy writes this letter. I was supposed to write you this letter last night, but, I was too preoccupied with a lot of our messes here and there! Hahaha. Uh-oh, no problem with that, baby. I love to deal with your messes everywhere around the corner of our house.

What prompted me to write this letter (wow, Mommy has been writing you natural letters everyday!) is that I wanted to tell you what you did at the kitchen (mind you, it’s gross, baby!) while Mommy was cooking. I just stepped out of our kitchen for a few seconds and when I got back, there you were in front of the garbage can, getting the spoiled left over pasta!!!! Ugggh! I was really taken aghast!

Mommy didn’t think you’d go inside the kitchen. Usually, you’re satisfied just looking at what Mommy’s doing by just standing near the door – that’s it and nothing else. But ahhh, I underestimated you. I forgot when the cat is away, the mouse will play! Hahaha.

I immediately got you up, washed your mouth with water, rinsed it thoroughly and smelled your breath if the stinky pasta was still there. Good thing you weren’t able to eat or bite the pasta!

Last night, we all played inside our blanket. Daddy and Mommy were already too tired to keep the blanket up, but, you still loved to play. You started crying because no one wanted to play with you anymore. Wow, you have so much energy, baby, even in the middle of the night.

Oh, I have to stop writing this letter. You’re now here in our computer room. You went here silently; I thought you’re peacefully sleeping in our bed. :)

This is all for now.

Dear Baby,

This is my 2nd letter for you today!

I just want to tell you that you really amazed Mommy and Daddy awhile ago. You were going out of the room when Mommy suddenly asked you, “where are you going?” in a normal accent. You suddenly clapped your hands to the rhythm of the clapping in Dora the Explorer. Daddy and Mommy repeated the words again. You clapped again.

We were also amazed when suddenly you got up from our bed and you started tapping your feet. Wow. You must be remembering something that you have watched in Barney! Mommy just couldn’t figure it out yet. Unsure of myself, I just sang the song, “if you’re happy and you know it stomp your feet” and you continued tapping your feet.

You also shocked us when suddenly you attempted to point on the blank wall – as if imagining that you’re reading, rather, sounding off the alphabet “aaa” “baaa” hehe. That’s so cool. We’re reminded then to put the alphabet anywhere around our house. Mommy thought you’re not interested in learning so Mommy put on hold the teaching of the alphabet in your blackboard. But Mommy will resume it again. Although it seems you don’t seem to pay attention, you are absorbing everything; you just show them after a few hours or days. WOW. Mommy’s so right in teaching you at an early age.

While at the bed, too, you pointed on the figures and letters in the counting book and started to “read”. You sounded off the letters of the alphabet! So cutteeeeee, baby.

Comes Friday, we’ll buy the rubber alphabet at Daiso. Your old rubber alphabet is no longer complete so Mommy didn’t put it back on our wall when we transferred to our new flat.

Oh, I remember this morning, it was a success to bath you without crying! Haha. After your breakfast, as usual your face and body are covered with food, Mommy washed you at the lavatory. You didn’t see the green basin that we use to bath you so you probably thought that Mommy would just wash your face and hands. Then I thought of washing your hair. I got the shampoo and the baby bath from the bathroom. You were not aware what would happen next. I bathed you right there and then. You were about to cry, but, didn’t do so. I wonder why. Next time I’ll do the same. But, ahh, I wish you’d not cry when I bath you, baby. When you were young, you’re crying every time I remove you from the basin. Now, every time you see that we’re about to take a bath, you wail at once. :d

This is all for now, baby. Mommy has to wash your bottles.

Dear Baby,

Hello baby. You’re fast asleep now. You must be very tired because you fell asleep while you’re sitting on Mommy’s lap. We had dinner with friends. Glad that you’re able to get along well with your godmother. Last night, we had dinner at the Fil-cuisine. How you loved the kare-kare!

You’re so kind, baby. Even wen you’re tired, sleepy, you just won’t cry. You’d fall asleep silently. Even when you’re hungry, you’d just feed yourself.

This letter should have been written four days ago. Ahh, I remember that night when you kissed Mommy and Daddy. Daddy was crying that night out of joy. The next morning when you woke up, you kissed Mommy for three times. Wow. You’re such a darling, baby. Mommy also cried when you kissed her for over twenty times the next evening while you only kissed Daddy for two times. Oh, I remember you were kissing us on our lips, and Mommy said “no”. Just then, while you were about to kiss Daddy on the lips, I just said “no”, and you stopped – you raised your hand to signify “no” by shaking your pointing finger to the right and to the left. Cool!

This morning, you walked a bit longer – 4meters. Hmmm. Great achievement, baby. Last night, you also learned how to turn around without falling!

Mommy’s worry was a bit lessened when a friend told me that – for as long as you’re healthy, I shouldn’t be worried of your weight. Yes, he’s right. Some kids your age might probably be weighing almost double your weight. Uh-oh. Anyways, I am pretty sure that you’d catch up. I hope it would be soon, baby. You’re a good eater. I just hope you’re absorbing the nutrients properly. Hmmm. You don’t like the pediasure milk – even the choco flavor. I wonder why you love chocolates but you dislike the choco-flavored milk.

Another friend also asked if you suffered from fever when you’re teething. Daddy and Mommy were so proud to say that your resistance is so strong – thank God – because you never suffered from sleepless nights, feverish nights from teething. It’s all because of Green Barley, I guess.

Last weekend, we had fun at McDonald’s. We woke up early, walked around the vicinity, and had our first breakfast as family at McDonald’s. It was a dream come true for us. Daddy and Mommy were talking about it years ago – when we were still single – that we’d have a family breakfast outside. Now we have a baby after longish years. Thank you, baby, for coming into our lives.

A friend told me I should start having my second baby, your baby brother or sister. Yes, I think I have to consider it. Previously, I only want one child. Now that I have you, baby, I feel that you should have a sibling to play with. I think it’s not a good idea just to have one baby. You play alone. There are times when I see your glow when you see other babies, kids around. BUT…we should have a nanny first at home. And, you should start walking for real on your own, baby, and you should start having a conversation with us now, baby. Haha. That’s the prerequisite before we consider having your baby sibling.

This is all for now. It’s past 1 a.m. now. Gotta sleep.

mommy

Dear Baby,

Hello, baby! You’re sleeping while Mommy writes this letter.

Daddy and Mommy are so happy today; you’ve been practicing on how to walk! Wow. You’re awesome, really!

This morning, too, you helped Daddy as he did some carpentry works at home. You were helping him in putting back the nuts and bolts into the plastic. Wow. You’re really good at following instructions!

We were amazed, too, because you saw this cotton bud at the floor; you picked it up, and put it into your ear! You were trying to clean your ear! How’s that for a 14-month old baby! Oh, God, I am so thankful to Him for giving us a gifted, awesome, beautiful (in-out) baby!

While in our bed, you were busily playing when Mommy got up, danced on the floor. You also got out from bed, and was making a presentation, too, in front of Daddy! Wow! Awesomeness!

Did I mention in my previous letter that you were showing your walking skills to Papa, Mama, Auntie Ne, Auntie Ting, and Nanny 2 — back home?

Thank God you’re now beginning to enjoy walking. Sometimes you still fall off, but, as much as possible, you really want to walk. Uh-oh, before I forget to mention this, Mommy was dancing on the floor when I told you to dance, too. I grabbed your hands, and presto, you were dancing, too!

And, oh, you do understand English words. I asked you this morning if your teeth were brushed…and guess what? You said no through moving your head from left to right, and you opened your mouth and put your fingers on your teeth! I was really shocked! Yes, Mommy didn’t brush your teeth! Not only that, you knew what Mommy was talking about!

WOW. WOW.

Mommy cried a bit this afternoon because I AM so proud of what you’ve become, my baby! A self-reliant, self-supporting, GIFTED, brilliant, with the right manners baby, and yes, just at 14 months old!

Thank You, God.

Thank you, baby.

iloveyou,

mommy
