Dear Baby,

Belated happy birthday, baby! You’re now 1 yr and 4 months! Yehey! It’s also the first time you celebrated your month birthday that Mommy and Daddy forgot to greet you! Oh no. So sorry for that. Although we don’t usually celebrate your month birthday after your first birthday, we don’t forget really to greet you! But. maybe, Mommy’s too preoccupied lately. Daddy was the one who told me that I should not scold you yesterday morning because it’s your birthday. I cried.

Mommy has been stressed out lately. I wrote you in my previous letter that we have a new nanny. After three days, she’s gone. Too bad. Mommy told her to have a day off after three days, and she didn’t come home. It’s her loss; not ours.

For the past three days, Mommy was talking with a new maid. We were about to meet her later today. But at 1a.m., she just texted me that she won’t come. Ahh, we don’t have luck in maids. Don’t worry, baby. God will give us the right person.

This is all for now, baby. Mommy has to wash your bottles. I’ll write you again soon.

Dear Baby: 60th natural letter for my baby

Dear Baby,

I just wanted to share something with you.

What an irony, really! We have our new maid. After two days, she was able to hold you even though at first you cried. Mommy’s so busy so your new yaya got no choice but to look after you. After three days of working, I told her to go for a dayoff. That was a crazy idea! Daddy was out, too, so it ended that Mommy got stressed again. One thing, we both didn’t eat our dinner because Mommy was holding you again, and no one would do the cooking.

It’s hard when Mommy always almost accommodate everyone’s welfare. It’s been quite a longish time that I needed some time off for myself. Not that Mommy is complaining of looking after you 24×7, but, you see, Mommy needs some time alone so that when I get back, I’d have enough energy again. Now that we have a new nanny, she was the one I granted that day off when she just started her work in our house. I called her on her mobile phone, and asked her why she’s not home yet at 9p.m. (as we discussed before she left at 2:15p.m.) and said she would go home by 10p.m. because she was still eating. It would be her last day off for the month of July. The next day off would be after a month.

Anyway, tomorrow will be Mommy’s first day off. Daddy will take care of you while Mommy’s away.

Mommy also wants to write that you amazed me when you put one of your clothes in the laundry bag, and then the next day after, you got a shirt from the laundry bag. It’s just so cute because you wiped your mouth with that cloth. Tehee.

It was also yesterday when you did this trick of pricking Mommy’s and Daddy’s eyes so we’d wake up. Haha. You also forced me to eat that biscuit by putting it into Mommy’s mouth, and when I sort of declined, you made a sound like you were trying to bribe me to eat! Hahaha.

Last night, at our unplanned party at home, two people (your godparents) said that you gained weight. I’m so happy. Please continue eating well, baby. Thank God for you have the appetite now.

Dear Baby,

Hello, baby! We just came from eating at the McDonald’s, and shopping galore at Giordano! Uh-oh, you didn’t eat much, but, you consumed a lot of softdrinks — too bad. Thank God for sending your angel. You were about to stepped on by two stupid peeps — they didn’t see you were walking at the McDonald’s hallway.

We’re very sorry, baby. After eating at McDonald’s, we headed straight to Giordano in the nearby mall. It was so humid. Daddy, Mommy, and you were all sweating. We seldom experience that here in the desert. Good for Daddy and Mommy so we’d be able to shed some flab, but, not good for you. Hehe.

You must be very tired, baby. You’re now asleep, and Daddy, too. Mommy’s gonna iron Daddy’s clothes, and clean your messes again. Last night, err, early morning, Mommy slept at around 4a.m. already; I cleaned our house! No problem with how you messed up our house. Hehe.

This is all for now. I’ll write you again soon.

Dear Baby,

Howdy! Finally you’re now asleep. You did have enough energy to play with Daddy. It was also great to see how you performed well in your learning time with Daddy.

Actually, Mom doesn’t have time to write this letter. I’m currently cleaning your messes in the living room! Haha. But I need to write this letter or else I might forget the necessary details about the amazing things you showed us tonight. This will be a quick letter though.

Mommy would like to let you know that you really are fantastic, baby. You just know things well in your First Words book. You know what a food is; what animals are; what vehicles are. If the picture is food, you make a sound with your tongue as if you’re eating. If they are animals, you growl. If they’re vehicles, you mimic the sounds that a certain vehicle makes, like the train, the tractor. You’re amazing, really! Continue reading →
