Dear Baby,

Howdy, baby! You slept at 10p.m. already, but, was awaken by Daddy or Mommy at 12midnight. Glad you’re back to sleeping at 2a.m.!

This morning, you really surprised Mommy when you ate alone – you ate the oatmeal I made for you. After eating, (there was a small portion left on your plate), you gave the plate to Mommy. I sensed that you were about to put the plate in our kitchen? haha. At lunchtime, you did the same. You put the two plates on top of the other after eating. Wow. I can really depend on you. Thank you for being so independent.

Last night, we attended a birthday party. There we saw MsG. Ahh. Again she said those words – that you’re thin – compared of course to her baby. No worries. You will soon be on track. Keep up the good work, baby! Eat well.

Glad your monster nails are now gone. Daddy was able to cut your fingernails last night. At the party, I was disturbed by your long fingernails. And oh, speaking of fingernails, you love to scratch Mommy on my legs and arms to catch my attention. Haha. And speaking of catching attention, you prick our eyes with your finger to wake us up. Waaah. That’s bad, baby. I know you don’t know that word yet. :)

This is all for now.

Dear Baby,

Hello, baby!!!

You’re now asleep as Mommy writes this. I couldn’t wait to tell how you made Mommy proud today! You just said your first English sentence “I DON’T LIKE!” Hahaha. You really shocked me and your lola ninang when you said those words. Where did you learn that? How did you learn that?

Mommy was trying to fix your hair with the clip, and you wanted to remove the clip from your hair. As I was fixing your  hair, you tried to remove my right hand as you said those words “I DON’T LIKE!” Haha. Impressive, really, you are! You said your first English sentence at 15months! WOW.

As your lola ninang was about to leave the house, you were the first one who waved your hand (meaning, bye-bye). Did you also say these words, “Can I come?” or just “I come”? Really, we heard that, too! Hahaha.

WOWOWOW.

Last night, you surprised us, too, when you said, “edi, edi, edi”. I wondered was what it you were saying when I realized that you were chanting, “Alvin, Alvin, Alvin”, from the movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks. You also mimicked the way the chippets were singing with matching action of your hand — you were pointing your fingers upward. Hahaha. You’re impressive!

Mommy’s so proud of you, baby, and so is Daddy.

Dear Baby,

Belated happy birthday, baby! You’re now 1 yr and 4 months! Yehey! It’s also the first time you celebrated your month birthday that Mommy and Daddy forgot to greet you! Oh no. So sorry for that. Although we don’t usually celebrate your month birthday after your first birthday, we don’t forget really to greet you! But. maybe, Mommy’s too preoccupied lately. Daddy was the one who told me that I should not scold you yesterday morning because it’s your birthday. I cried.

Mommy has been stressed out lately. I wrote you in my previous letter that we have a new nanny. After three days, she’s gone. Too bad. Mommy told her to have a day off after three days, and she didn’t come home. It’s her loss; not ours.

For the past three days, Mommy was talking with a new maid. We were about to meet her later today. But at 1a.m., she just texted me that she won’t come. Ahh, we don’t have luck in maids. Don’t worry, baby. God will give us the right person.

This is all for now, baby. Mommy has to wash your bottles. I’ll write you again soon.

Dear Baby,

I just wanted to share something with you.

What an irony, really! We have our new maid. After two days, she was able to hold you even though at first you cried. Mommy’s so busy so your new yaya got no choice but to look after you. After three days of working, I told her to go for a dayoff. That was a crazy idea! Daddy was out, too, so it ended that Mommy got stressed again. One thing, we both didn’t eat our dinner because Mommy was holding you again, and no one would do the cooking.

It’s hard when Mommy always almost accommodate everyone’s welfare. It’s been quite a longish time that I needed some time off for myself. Not that Mommy is complaining of looking after you 24×7, but, you see, Mommy needs some time alone so that when I get back, I’d have enough energy again. Now that we have a new nanny, she was the one I granted that day off when she just started her work in our house. I called her on her mobile phone, and asked her why she’s not home yet at 9p.m. (as we discussed before she left at 2:15p.m.) and said she would go home by 10p.m. because she was still eating. It would be her last day off for the month of July. The next day off would be after a month.

Anyway, tomorrow will be Mommy’s first day off. Daddy will take care of you while Mommy’s away.

Mommy also wants to write that you amazed me when you put one of your clothes in the laundry bag, and then the next day after, you got a shirt from the laundry bag. It’s just so cute because you wiped your mouth with that cloth. Tehee.

It was also yesterday when you did this trick of pricking Mommy’s and Daddy’s eyes so we’d wake up. Haha. You also forced me to eat that biscuit by putting it into Mommy’s mouth, and when I sort of declined, you made a sound like you were trying to bribe me to eat! Hahaha.

Last night, at our unplanned party at home, two people (your godparents) said that you gained weight. I’m so happy. Please continue eating well, baby. Thank God for you have the appetite now.

iloveyou,

mommy
