Dear Baby,

This is my first letter for the month of December. No matter how much I wanted to write you each day for the past week, I tried not to because Mommy wasn’t feeling much better. No, I wasn’t sick, baby. Thanks God, for we are always healthy. I was just sort of feeling blue. So now that I am okay, Mommy wants to assure you that everything’s all right.

I remember that night of Nov. 28 when Daddy and Mommy were feeling down. You assured me of your active kicking. I cried when I felt your presence in my womb. You won’t know yet what I am talking about, but this is a promise that you’d always feel secured, loved, and confident throughout your growing years. I will tell you about that incident in Nov. 28 when you’re already old enough to understand things.

I called up Papa and Mama, your grandparents, and they’re all excited to know updates about you, baby.

Always remember, baby, that, “in the morning, you are the first person in my mind”.

iloveyou,

mommy

Dear Baby,

How are you, my baby? I didn’t write you a letter yesterday.

I asked Daddy to go home by six o’clock so we can eat together. Daddy has been rushing some stuffs at work, but glad that he still spends time with you and me. Last night, we went home late because we bought some winter clothes, maternity clothes for Mommy, and Giordano shirts for Daddy. Mommy looks good on the new maternity clothes. It’s because we bought them from a Filipino store here (place deleted).

This morning, Mommy’s so busy. I am making several blogs. One of them is the CEO blog, which I am making for you. Girl or boy, I am grooming you to be a CEO – not just plain worker or staff. I want to show you the best on how to conduct yourself as a great person.

This is all for now.

iloveyou,

mommy

Dear Baby,

Hi, how are you, my baby?

Are you feeling so fresh? I do. I just finished taking a warm half bath. I put on my new maternity dress. I decided not to wear any shorts, jogging pants again that are so tight in my belly. I’m afraid of hurting you inside my womb. I’m also afraid that you don’t get enough space to roam around or stretch your muscles that’s why Daddy and Mommy bought cute dresses from the department store last weekend.

Mommy walked alone to eat lunch at the Filipino Cuisine. It’s Mommy’s second or third time to go out – alone. Daddy is not sold to the idea that Mommy goes out alone (place deleted) because of some not-so-good-stories. But Mommy just prayed hard to God that He’d protect us both. Daddy insisted that I should call him upon reaching the mall. I ate pinakbet and took out spaghetti from the resto for my snacks. I’m glad that I could eat a lot now unlike during my first trimester.

I finished reading the brochure, “breastfeeding your baby”, and I do intend to breastfeed you.

Are you hungry now? I am a bit hungry although I ate spaghetti minutes ago. Daddy is going home by 9p.m. We’ll eat together with him.

iloveyou,

mommy

Wondering about my third letter for my baby? I just can’t post it here. The letter contains actual names and places. I took a snapshot of the photo, but I guess the text would be hardly recognizable. Anyway, here’s the fourth letter:

Dear Baby,

I’m still wide awake. I guess I’ve awaken you from your deep sleep. I was laughing so hard a few minutes back, with Daddy beside me, because I just farted! We were laughing so hard because Daddy said that the smell was deadly – an assassin!

I’d agree that the smell was, indeed, terrible. Daddy just finished farting, too, but it didn’t smell that bad unlike Mommy’s. When Daddy finished farting, I farted inside our blanket. Daddy thought that it was his fart that he was smelling, but I was already laughing and told him that this time it’s me farting! The smell lasted for quite sometime inside our room. Daddy even had to sit up and then bury his face in the pillow while I couldn’t control my laughter. I am writing this letter in our bed – that’s why my penmanship isn’t that good. I just finished talking my prenatal vitamins. The deadly smell of my fart could have been attributed to the vitamins or maybe due to my constipation which is normal during pregnancy.

Goodnight baby!

iloveyou,

mommy
